You convey your characters' internal logic so clearly, even when that logic is on the face of it absolutely bonkers. But you never succumb to the temptation to make either of your characters (and especially Shen Yuan) a joke--they've got veins of deep feeling running through them, tragedies and griefs and overwhelming loves, and it's impossible not to be compelled by the stories you tell about them. I especially love those moments of Shen Yuan's cleverness (THE MESSAGE IN THE SNACK DUST) and Gideon's compassion, the way you set them up for interesting interactions with other characters. You're really good at this game, and I hope you know it. <3333
