I love your ability to plan really intricate stuff -- I'm always blown away by the level of your plotting and keeping things going behind the scenes and the way you carefully lay groundwork.

I also (I feel like I'll end up saying this a lot but whatever lol) find all three of your character voices so distinct and carefully chosen. With everyone on DF I sometimes forget who is playing who because the characters are so individual that there's not really any kind of tell or typist pattern bleeding through to the character. Crowley is such a goofy little dork compared to Nina's cheer over great sadness and Aornis' creepy machinations.

PENNY. You and S are two of the absolutely most funny people in the universe -- I am always cackling at work about your comedic genius and hoping nobody overhears. You and Laney have me so incredibly invested in Bingqiu and praying that they just fucking learn to communicate!!!!! I would read a whole-ass fanfic in this I-don't-even-go-here fandom because I care about these guys so much. And, yeah, as I've said above, I love how distinct Shen Yuan and Gideon are as characters; there's no typist bleed at all. During sadmas I had to keep checking whether you, Laney, or S were playing specific characters too because they were also all so distinct and I could not keep a cheat sheet in my head. You're seriously just brilliant.

Okay, like I said to Penny above, you are a comic genius. It is amazing to me how funny your writing is. Like truly transcendent.

You've mentioned before that it can be tough to play Kade and Magnus because there's the potential for overlap in their character voices but I have to say I've never felt that. You can really feel Kade's maturity and the peace he's at with himself in contrast to Magnus being younger and more impulsive and goofy, while still having so much frustration about the limitations of his fate. And Susan is SUCH a compelling character, the choices you've made about picking her up post-book have really paid off. You are just so good at developing themes from the source text and creating characters who are obviously and recognizably their book selves while also exploring new aspects of who they become after they sit with the events of their canon for several years or decades.

I have definitely thought about how I wasn't sure I would super connect with Magnus initially because of his Very YA Source Text but pretty much right out of the gate he became a character that I cared about so much and would absolutely die for lol. I really can't say enough about your ability to make this happen.

Omg Gil. I know I've said this a bunch of times but your way of writing, like your language choices and turns of phrase, are just so engrossing -- you have this amazing ability to make prose surprising and fresh and I love reading everything you write. As I've said several times already here, you're one of those people who has a bunch of characters who are all super distinct and well-developed with their own clear voices, and they're all so easy to get invested in and care about. But of course Laertes is the best boy.

I also appreciate so much the level of trust we have for writing sex scenes; it's so fun to get creative and explore the emotions and motivations behind our guys and what is going on with them in bed. I find sex scenes interesting for character development but sometimes I can also find writing them repetitious and I worry that they're just boring and salacious -- with you I feel like we're always learning something and it makes the whole process so exciting.

You're just someone who is constantly surprising me with your writing and I love getting to bounce off of you. Thank you for being here!!!

Kylee, you have produced some of the most thoughtful, complex character work ever. The depth you've put into Claudius, the rich textural deep dives, the way you've fleshed out this guy through different productions and different reads -- he's capable of being scary and sneaky and tender and vulnerable, he's our wine auntie and he's drinking his best friend's blood and he's talking cute boys with Shen Yuan and he's coming out of the murder closet, but he's also a melancholy prince who thinks more than he acts and loves to talk and makes some really bad choices. And he plays Friend Detective, which is very exciting for me in terms of representation!

Basically there's nothing more exciting than getting a monologue in the old inbox, and I think I speak for everyone.

I love how Nightingale is the kind of character where you've really made his presence felt even when he's not involved in every single thread; he's made so many connections and gotten so involved in the community by being, frankly, an adult-shaped adult. Somebody in the ic chat early on said the way he drifts in and out narratively is so appropriate for his character and I think about that a lot when he shows up. I just really love the way you play him!!

One of the things I love about df is that there are so many characters from sources that I personally haven't read and yet I care so much about them from the way people play them and I'm so invested in the stories within the comm, and that's super how I feel about Mothwing and Tally. It took like nooo time for me to become so into them and so interested in the way they fit into the community and the relationships they've formed and wanting to know what will happen to them. You just sucked me in so quickly! I love that and I love that you made me care about them!

Relatedly, sagramore needs to hang out with Tally and increase his Worry Quotient.
