(you get my muchmusic icon accordingly.) i'm so glad i dmed you out of the blue asking about your panfandom literary rp and i'm soooo glad i apped within 4 hours of you linking me. you're soooo nice and encouraging (and give hands down the best hugs) and every day i'm so impressed by the consistency of the inner voices of your characters. you could cut out all their names and post each tag from this account and i'd still know exactly who was talking because they're so vividly distinct and clearly-drawn and uniquely themselves.

Oh Gil, I don't even know if I can word this properly but I will try. The way you write is an inspiration and I love your characters so so much. They are all so different but you play them so well and I am always delighted to read their threads. Laertes is just so good, Gu Xiang is a treasure and Little John is all kinds of love.

sarah! i know absolutely nothing about aleks's source material so i can only assume he's the compelling, conflicted man slowly learning about his impact on the world and the possibility of other paths that you present him to be.

Alix, I do adore Mothwing and Tally so much. They are both so sweet in different ways and while I know it would be Frowned on, I just want to hug Mothwing and tell her she is the Best. Which isn't to say I don't want to hug Tally because I do - watching her grapple with things has been so compelling (and Gideon/Tally FOREVER).

i admit that i've been a lancelot agnostic since my first lancelot encounter (half magic by edward eager) but now i love him. it's so, so fun to play with you. your character choices are so thoughtful and SO compelling, and i really love how each of my guys has SUCH a different relationship with your guy. (i also, fwiw, love his relationships with people outside of my guys - it's such a joy to read his different little fumbling interactions across the mansion ♥)

gil! i always am thrilled to find another spreadsheet aficionado in the wild. and i love all of your character choices with each of your little guys. you really lean into evocative moments and let them take the pace they need and speak for themselves in such creative and compelling ways. threading with you is like the best kind of improv--i think this is most obvious with magnus and gu xiang (i think both the cave thread and the cooking thread were truly unparalleled creative experiences) but it's really true of any of my characters interacting with any of yours. :saluting_face: it's an honor and a fucking blast

kylee, i'm so impressed by the care and thoughtfulness and balls-out fun you bring to claudius. the context and compliations and thoughts you share in the server about shakespeare in general and claudius in particular feel like i'm back in my shakespeare class in college except this time i WANT to do the reading and engage with the text in a million different ways. he feels really three-dimensional and lived-in!

angie! it's been great getting to know you & play with you! i love every single choice you've made with wei wuxian here - it's such a fun and compelling take on the character. and OBVIOUSLY i am fucking THRILLED that you brought loml alex "best character in the universe" fierro for visitor's day and are bringing him back again for good. i really cherished the life you breathed into her then (rick riordan pls come take notes) and i'm so excited to see how her time in the mansion unfolds!!

toni! i feel like i've really gotten to know nightingale really well even though i don't know anything about his source material. he's such a fleshed-out character, and i love the little turns you take him on every time you bring him out to play.

alix! you're SO fun to play with. i love the life and dimensionality you breathe into your characters, and how studied and real they both feel. you're really making me relive my love for the uglies series daily, and i'm truly obsessed with tally and all of her choices (the choices you're giving her!). and mothwing is an utter delight. oh to be an agéd lesbian cat disillusioned with the world... i want to be her when i grow up.

mandy! i enjoy how enthusiastic you are about the characters you love, and how much you bubble over when you get to share your feelings about them. enjolras is sooo fun to play with!

I just love how human your characters are, both in their virtues and their vices. Tress and Grantaire have always delighted in the bonds of humanity, but it's been so rewarding watching Asmodean really engage again with the personhood of the people he hurt, and the wound he dealt the world when he stole their art from them--he's coming at love for other people from a wildly different direction, but his compass is starting to track the same lodestar, and it feels so earned. I also absolutely adore Grantaire's sheer yes-and chaos powers--it's so much fun to play across from him, and makes me feel less anxious and cautious about what my characters will do. And then there's Tress, who is so wise in her way, who cuts straight to the heart of difficult questions and makes them feel simple and answerable. I love them all so much. You tell their stories so well. <3333

i mean this the most complimentary way anyone could ever mean it but tagging in threads with claudius when he's angry with your puppet is the most stressful a fictional situation could possibly be. he's so whip-smart and unhinged in such a particular way, it feels like i am on an old-timey telephone to billy shakespeare and he's insulting my blorbo's soul. i'm so happy he and gideon have (so far) a much less complicated relationship than he and shen yuan so i can also play with silly shenanigans claudius also!!

gil!!! i think your writing is truly fantastic, on a characterization level and a sentence level both. you have such a talent for taking characters from such vastly difference experiences and settings and making sure the ways they are informed by those settings never leaves them, even as they grow and change and become New in their new environments. your gu xiang alone brings me such enormous joy. i'm so happy to be able to play in this space with you!

jess!! i have such admiration for how well you write lancelot as both deeply awkward and deeply charming - it's a real skill imo to balance those aspects without them contradicting each other and you do it so effortlessly
